MediabilityIreland

Myself and fellow Picture This editor JR found a lot of love in Clontarf today in the beautiful  surroundings of The Irish Wheelchair Association where we were met the team behind new blog, mediability, who had invited us out to give a presentation.

After brief and giddy introductions (and a very enthusiastic Justin Bieber fan…*cough*…Kayleigh!) the guys told us a bit about their blog and the roles they each played in putting it together. We then did our best at giving a brief show and tell on using wordpress and social media as tools to spread a message.  I think we learned as much as they did!

We talked a little about our #DublinInLove project and the group loved the idea and the photos they’d seen of the #YesEquality  murals around the city.  Mediability Ireland also spreads a message of equality and the advocacy of equal rights for everyone; simple day to day tasks like using public transport should be easily accessible for all. There are things that a vast majority of the population take for granted, which is why it’s so important that people use their voice.

A big thanks to all the ladies at Clontarf IWA, including the amazing Anita for having us and telling us about their very exciting project! We shall be back!
